About PureGeek

PureGeek is a one-person practice built on a simple idea: nobody needs to talk down to you or bury you in technical jargon. Even complex technical concepts can be explained to non-technical users in an understandable and respectful way. The fact that my hobby, and often my vocation, for the last several decades has been centered around computers and the internet does not mean I am part of some shadow society that you don't know the secret handshake for.

Woodworking, gardening, swimming pool chemistry, baking, car mechanics, economics, foreign policy, astrophysics, and why my dog never farts unless he's sleeping right at my feet are all things I wish I knew more about. But I spent my time learning all this geek stuff instead. What are you good at? That's really awesome! You know what I'm good at? Geek stuff.

I have said it to many customers who warn me that they aren't "technical people":

"Don't worry, I'm geek enough for the both of us!"

Beyond Repair

PureGeek is also the hub for a small roster of side projects — Linux training, AI literacy classes, hardware recycling, and more.

This site was built through days of live, iterative collaboration between Marty and Claude Code — not a single prompt and publish. The brand, the voice, the product lineup, and very nearly every word of final copy are Marty's; the code, the real backend, and the deployment are Claude's, built and rebuilt under Marty's direction and review throughout.

TL;DR: Conceptualized and directed by the author. Refined through iterative collaboration with AI — Claude Sonnet 5, via Claude Code. Finalized by the author.
